HEC-GeoRAS is an ArcGIS (ArcMap) extension from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) that helps engineers and GIS analysts prepare and process spatial data for HEC-RAS modeling. It streamlines the creation of river centerlines, banks, flow paths, cross sections, and hydraulic structures from terrain and planimetric data, computes required geometric attributes, and exports a RAS GIS import file to build HEC-RAS models. After simulations, HEC-GeoRAS can post-process HEC-RAS one-dimensional results to generate floodplain boundaries, depth and velocity grids, and inundation maps for visualization and reporting. The toolset was designed for ArcGIS Desktop 10.x (ArcMap); for newer two-dimensional modeling and mapping, HEC recommends using HEC-RAS’s built-in RAS Mapper.
HEC-GeoRAS is developed by HEC and is used by 6 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 4.3, 10.0, 10.1, 10.2 and 10.8.
